Admission Procedure

The school prospectus together with necessary forms and a VCD will be available from the Pailan World School campus and the city office. The application form, medical form, and boarding form (only for residential students) have to be submitted along with payment of a Registration Fee which is non-refundable click here. Registration does not guarantee admission to any applicant. Forms downloaded from the website can be duly filled in and sent to the school along with the cost of the prospectus and the registration fee, both payable by demand draft in Kolkata favoring Pailan World School.

All applicants will be called in for an entrance test (mandatory for all classes) followed by a parent interview with the principal. The entrance test will be held in the school on any convenient day. Admission will be confirmed only after assessing the performance of the child in the written test and after assessment of the vacant position in the concerned class/grade. The entrance test shall cover:

  1. Grade – NURSERY, LKG & UKG: Oral Test (Rhymes & Pictorial Questions)
  2. Grade – I to V: Written Test (English, Mathematics & Environmental Studies)
  3. Grade – VI to XI: Written Test (English, Mathematics & Environmental Studies)

    • Parents have to collect the school prospectus together with necessary forms (Application form, Medical form, and Boarding form) from the Pailan World School Campus.
    • The form can be downloaded from our website as well.
    • It is strictly advised that the parents should fill out the registration form themselves and submit it or send it to the school along with the cost of the prospectus (Rs. 1000) and the registration fee (Rs 5000).
    • All applicants will be called in for an entrance examination

    • Prospectus can be obtained by sending a demand draft payable in Kolkata favoring Pailan World School USD 24 for Non-resident Indians or USD 26 for Foreign Nationals.
    • Form can be downloaded from our website.
    • It is strictly advised that the parents should fill out the registration form themselves and submit it or send it to the school along with the cost of the prospectus and the registration fee.
    • The entrance test can be scheduled in the school. Parents of the applicant are required to get a no-objection certificate from the school where the applicant is currently enrolled and/or the Embassy concerned
